National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2019 the gross written premiums amounted to 1218,8 million lei, increasing by 7,9% compared to the gross premiums written in the previous year. Compensation and insurance indemnities paid in January-September 2019 amounted to 504,7 million lei, exceeding by 19,9% compared the corresponding period of 2018.
20.11.2019 The touristic activity of tourism agencies and tour-operators in January-September 2019
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 319,2 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 15,3% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of inbound tourism, internal tourism and outbound tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in September 2019, the industrial production increased by 9,3% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of increase of the manufacturing industry. In the same time the quarrying industry and production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply register an decrease.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 76,9 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-September 2019, with 1,5% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 4666,2 million passenger-kilometers, with 2,5% more than January-September 2018.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2019 the annual inflation registered 6,8%, including: food products – 10,7%, nonfood products – 4,7% and services – 3,6%. The consumer price index in October 2019 compared to September 2019 registered 100,9%.
