National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in January-June 2019 value of investments in fixed assets amounted to 9154,2 mio. lei, increasing by 26,8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the second quarter 2019 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 7302,6 Lei, an increase of 14,6% compared to the second quarter 2018. The index of the real salary in the second quarter 2019 compared to the second quarter 2018 was 110,2%, more with 10,2% compared to previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2019 were put into operation 3676 dwellings with total area of 271,1 thousand m², or with 30,3% more than in January-June 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in June 2019, turnover in retail trade registered an decreased of 0,9% compared to previous month and increased of 17,7% compared to June 2018. In January-June 2019, turnover in retail trade increased with 17,0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
21.08.2019 The activity of insurance companies in January-June 2019
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2019 the gross written premiums amounted to 769,9 million lei, increasing by 9,1% compared to the gross premiums written in the previous year. Compensation and insurance indemnities paid in January-June 2019 amounted to 354,5 million lei, exceeding by 20,8% compared the corresponding period of 2018.
20.08.2019 The touristic activity of tourism agencies and tour-operators in January-June 2019
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 151,6 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 12,2% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, outbound tourism and inbound tourism.
19.08.2019 Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-June 2019
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in June 2019, the industrial production decreased by 2,2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the quarrying industry and manufacturing industry. In the same time the production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply register an increase.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that a number of 156,4 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodationin during the period of January-June 2019, of which 78,9 thou. of non-resident tourists and 77,4 thou. of resident tourists. In comparison to January-June 2018, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased due to its growth in hotels and motels, rest structures and holiday camps for pupils.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 51,4 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-June 2019, with 2,4% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 2745,7 million passenger-kilometers, with 4,3% more than January-June 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2019 exports summed up 1361,4 mio. USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2018 with 3,5% and imports summed up 2807,4 mio. USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2018 with 2,6%.

The number of the population with regular residence on January 1, 2019 constituted 2681,7 thousand persons, of which 743,2 thousand or 27,7% are young people aged between 14-34 years. The distribution of young people by sex is as follows: 49,9% - women and 50,1% - men.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in July 2019 the annual inflation registered 5,4%, including: food products – 8,6%, nonfood products – 4,6% and services – 1,4%. The consumer price index in July 2019 compared to June 2019 registered 99,8%.

National Bureau of Statistics presents the statistical information on the demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova for the years 2014-2018, analyzed through the aspects of the demographic events, which took place during the same period. The indicators disaggregated by sex and age were recalculated on the basis of the usual resident population, which includes those who have lived mainly on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the last 12 months, regardless of temporary absences.
