The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the third quarter of 2020 the average gross monthly nominal earnings constituted 8074,3 Lei, increasing by 2,9% compared to the second quarter of 2020 and by 9,3% compared to the third quarter of 2019.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2020 the gross written premiums amounted to 1062,7 million lei, decreasing by12,8% compared to the gross premiums written in the corresponding period of 2019. Compensation and insurance indemnities paid in January-September 2020 amounted to 465,9 million lei, decreasing by 7,7% compared to the payments made in the corresponding period of 2019.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2020 were put into operation 5008 dwellings, with 1585 dwellings less than in January-September 2019. The total area of dwellings put into operation in January-September 2020 amounted to 397,0 thousand m², decreased by 20,6% compared to the similar period of 2019.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in September 2020, turnover in retail trade registered an increased of 2,9% compared to previous month and with 9,3% compared to September 2019. In January-September 2020, turnover in retail trade increased with 1,4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-September 2020National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in September 2020, the industrial production (gross series) decreased by 7,9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the manufacturing industry (-10,5%). In the same time the quarrying industry (+16,6%) and production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply (+24,1%) registered an increase.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that 66,2 thou. tourists attended collective tourist accommodation establishments in the period of January-September 2020, which constitutes 22,1% compared to the similar period of 2019. Of the total number of tourists, 43,0 thousand were resident tourists and 23,2 thou. - non-resident tourists.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 39,9 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-September 2020, with 48,1% less than in the similar period of 2019. The passengers turnover constituted 1,6 million passenger-kilometers, with 61,6% less than January-September 2019.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2020 exports summed up 1,8 billions USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 13,4% and imports summed up 3,8 billions USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 10,3%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2020 the annual inflation registered 1,56%, including food products 3,95%, nonfood products (-0,37%) and services 0,59%. The average consumer prices in October compared to September 2020 increased by 0,11%.
