28.02.2020 Crime situation in the Republic of Moldova in year 2019
According to information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019, 31,7 thousand crimes were recorded on the territory of the country, registering a decrease of 20,4% compared to the previous year. The crime rate is 118 offenses per 10 thousand residents compared to 141 offenses in 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in January-December 2019 value of investments in fixed assets amounted to 27,8 billion lei, increasing by 9,4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-December 2019 were put into operation 8994 dwellings with total area of 688,2 thousand m², or with 45,9% more than in January-December 2018.
25.02.2020 Attendance of collective tourist accommodation establishments in January-December 2019
National Bureau of Statistics informs that a number of 374,8 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation in during the period of January-December 2019, of which 200,7 thou. of resident tourists and 174,0 thou. of non-resident tourists. In comparison to January-December 2018, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased due to its growth in hotels and motels and rest structures. At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in hostels for visitors, tourist and agrotouristic pensions, in health-improving structures and holiday camps decreased.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-December 2019 volume of constructed works performed under contract amounted 13,06 billion lei., increasing by 9,8% compared to the similar period of 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-December 2019, turnover in retail trade increased with 13,2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
19.02.2020 Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-December 2019
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in December 2019, the industrial production decreased by 1,0% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the quarrying industry and production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply. In the same time the manufacturing industry registered an increase.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 103,0 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-December 2019, with 0,8% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 5974,6 million passenger-kilometers, with 0,8% more than January-December 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2019 exports summed up 2,8 bilion USD, more than in the 2018 with 2,7% and imports summed up 5,8 bilion USD, more than in the 2018 with 1,4%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January 2020 the annual inflation registered 6,85%, including: food products – 11,52%, nonfood products – 3,78%, services – 4,05%. The consumer price index in January 2020 compared to December 2019 registered 100,63%.
