National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the research and development activity in 2019 was conducted in 63 units, of which 40 institutes and/or research centres, 16 higher education institutions and 7 - other types of units. From the total number of units, 50 units or 80% are in state ownership.
21.04.2020 Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-February 2020
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in February 2020, the industrial production increased by 4,7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of increase of the quarrying industry and manufacturing industry. In the same time the production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply registered an decrease.
17.04.2020 The activity of early education institutions in 2019
The number of 1486 of active early education institutions, including 829 - nursery schools, 543 kindergartens, 89 school-kindergartens, 23 community centers and 2 nurseries was registered in the country by the end of 2019 year. By destination, 3 types of institutions were distinguished: 1474 - with general destination, 5 - sanatorials and 7 - with special destinations.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-February 2020 exports summed up 464,8 billion USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 2,3% and imports summed up 864,8 billion USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 4,0%.
15.04.2020 Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-February 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 15,3 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-February 2020, with 4,8% less than in the similar period of 2019. The passenger's journey constituted 765,0 million passenger-kilometers, with 2,9% less than January-February 2019.
10.04.2020 Evolution of consumer prices in the Republic of Moldova in March 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in march 2020 the annual inflation registered 5,94%, including: food products – 10,50%, nonfood products – 2,58% and services – 3,76%. Also the consumer price index in March 2020 compared to February 2020 registered 100,09%.
