The decreased of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by the decrease of the number of participants of inbound tourism, outbound tourism and domestic tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2019 by leasing companies were leased out fixed assets with total value of 1,8 billion Lei or with 229,2 millions Lei more than in 2018. The major part of fixed assets leased out were the transport means with a value of 1,6 billion Lei, of which automobiles constituted 1,1 billion Lei.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in April 2020 the annual inflation registered 5,25%, including: food products – 9,96%, nonfood products – 1,48% and services – 3,51%. Also the consumer price index in April 2020 compared to March 2020 registered 100,17%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2019, PhD studies took place in 42 doctoral schools, organized in 18 higher education institutions, some of which formed consortia, national and international partnerships with other higher education institutions and scientific research institutions. National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2019 were recorded 370,1 thousand contraventions, with 56,2 thou. less than in the previous year. For the most of the cases, sanctions were applied. On average, per 1000 persons there were 132 cases of contraventions detected accompanied by application of sanctions.
