The National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in January-June 2020 value of investments in non-current assets amounted to 7,9 billion lei, decreasing by 14,9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
25.08.2020 Dwellings put into operation in January-June 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2020 were put into operation 2791 dwellings, with 885 dwellings less than in January-June 2019. The total area of dwellings put into operation in January-June 2020 amounted to 219,3 thousand m². Compared to the similar period of 2019, this indicator decreased by 19,1%.

According to the results of the annual statistical survey "Earnings and labor force cost in 2019" the average nominal gross monthly earning of an employee counted 7233,7 lei, increasing by 15,4% compared to 2018.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2020 the gross premiums charged constituted 627,2 million lei, decreasing by 18,5% compared to the gross premiums charged in the corresponding period of previous year.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2020, the construction works executed by the entities with the main type of activity “Constructions” amounted to 4,2 billion lei. Compared to the similar period of 2019, this volume decreased by 0,5%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in June 2020, turnover in retail trade registered an increased of 10,5% compared to previous month and with 3,0% compared to June 2019.
20.08.2020 The touristic activity of the tourism agencies and tour-operators in January-June 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2020 the tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 37,5 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 75,3% less than in the corresponding period of 2019. The decreased of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by the decrease of the number of participants of outbound tourism, domestic tourism and inbound tourism.
19.08.2020 Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-June 2020
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in June 2020, the industrial production decreased by 7,2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the manufacturing industry. In the same time the quarrying industry and production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply registered an increase.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that 41,3 thou. tourists attended collective tourist accommodation establishments in the period of January-June 2020, of which 22,2 thou. were resident tourists and 19,1 thou. - non-resident tourists.
15.08.2020 Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-June 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 26,3 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-June 2020, with 48,9% less than in the similar period of 2019. The passenger's journey constituted 1,2 million passenger-kilometers, with 56,9% less than January-June 2019.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2020 exports summed up 1170,2 mio. USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 14,0% and imports summed up 2393,2 mio. USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 14,8%.

The number of the population with regular residence on January 1, 2020 constituted 2640,4 thousand persons, of which 710,8 thousand or 26,9% are young people aged between 14-34 years. The distribution of young people by sex is as follows: 49,2% - women and 50,8% - men.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in July 2020 the annual inflation registered 4,23%, including: food products – 8,12%, nonfood products – 0,43% and services – 3,76%. Also the consumer price index in July 2020 compared to June 2020 registered 99,77%.

The National Bureau of Statistics presents the statistical research "Development of the Business Environment" in terms of gender dimension was conducted in accordance with the action plan of the Development Strategy of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector for 2018-2020, between 5-25 September 2018, being that of 2nd research conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics, after the first conducted in 2009.
