The Statistical Yearbook is one of the traditional tools of official statistics, which allows studying the evolution of society as and is an essential foundation in the development of all public policies. The yearbook contains the most recent statistical data available in various fields, for economic and social characterization of the country in 2017, as well as the evolution in recent years of the main economic indicators. The Yearbook is structured in 24 chapters and includes about 370 tables and diagrams. Each chapter contains methodological notes for basic indicators.

The yearbook contains as well statistical data on industry, agriculture, investments, constructions, transports, trade and services, financial results of economic agents.

15.02.2016 For the first time statistical compilation "Natural movement of the population of the Republic Moldova in 2014" was developed
The compilation includes key demographic indicators such as births and deaths, number of registered marriages and divorces.The information on key indicators is presented in territorial profile, for some indicators on villages and towns, by gender, age and other characteristics. The publication is the most comprehensive publication that reflects the development of the demographic processes in republic of Moldova in 2014.
04.02.2015 The European Union supports the improvement of regional statistics in Moldova
Today, February 4 2015, the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” has been launched. The goal of EU assistance through the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” is to strengthen the capacity of the producers of statistics, mainly the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to improve the methodological aspects of regional statistics as well as their dissemination.
03.02.2015 A new compartment in StatBank - Gender Statistics!
Most indicators in this compartment were calculated for the first time and can not be found in other compartments of the Statbank. Also, the indicators are part of the Minimum Set of Gender Indicators developed by the UN Statistical Commission. Data are available for 2008-2013 and will be updated annually.
26.02.2014 Launching of the results "School-to-Work Transition Survey in the Republic of Moldova"
The analytical framework of SWTS allows users to assess, first, the characteristics of young people who are still in school, who are employed (including self-employment), who are unemployed or are outside the labour force for reasons other than training/learning within the education system. The "School-to-Work Transition Survey" is a complementary module attached to Labour Force Survey, which was conducted in March 2013.

National Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family and the UN Joint Project on Strengthening the National Statistical System, have trained 25 public servants in the framework of a round-table carried out on February 22, 2012 regarding the collection, production and dissemination of labour market statistics in the Republic of Moldova.

The new sub-domain "Remuneration of employees" was created in National Accounts subject-area of the statistical databank. Remuneration of employees by economic activities and institutional sectors, as well as the contribution of employees' remuneration in the formation of gross domestic product and gross value added are available in this sub-domain.
