24.05.2022 National Bureau of Statistics - part of the worldwide campaign to promote the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics
During 2022, the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) it is marked. On the occasion of this anniversary, an international campaign has been launched to promote the 10 Fundamental Principles that underpin the statistical work of the world's countries.

06.05.2020 Measuring the social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
The purpose of the module "Influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the household" is to collect the statistical information to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on households in the Republic of Moldova. Data collection will be carried out on the basis of an additional module on Household Budget Survey (HBS), on the sample of households in the second quarter of 2020.

Between 23-24 May, the representative of the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, Mrs. Aida Ishhanova, Deputy Head of the Department of Statistics and Household Analysis, was on a study visit to the National Bureau of Statistics in order to obtain the experience and the best practices to be implemented in order to improve the statistical domain - the living standard of the population.

11.05.2015 Participation of STATREG Project at the European Village
The Project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” has participated Sunday, May 10, at the event organized by the EU Delegation in Moldova "European Village", on the occasion of Europe Day. Within the event were distributed publications provided by the NBS, the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and Regional Development Agencies.

National Bureau of Statistics announces the launch of the animated map "Vital statistics". Animated data visualisation using this application presents the changes in territorial aspect of vital statistics indicators - live births, deaths, natural increase, marriages, divorces, infant mortality - from 2003 to the present.

On May 19, 2009, at the republic's Palace iby United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) the Conference “Promoting Gender Equality & Demographic Policies through Improved Data Management” has been organized.
