30.08.2022 Data revision policy, in accordance with the good European practices, approved by the NBS
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in order to improve the transparency of the revision processes, to ensure good information and efficient communication with users, has developed and approved by Order No. 35 of 30 August 2022 the Data Revision Policy. The document presents a set of guidelines, general and specific principles governing the revisions of statistical information produced by the NBS.

06.08.2020 NBS presented the results of the study on the development of the business environment from a gender perspective
Today, August 6, in an online session, were presented the results of the study on gender perspective in business development, conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in 2018. During the event was presented the Analytical Report on participation of women and men in entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova, developed by the national expert, Rodica Nicoara. The online event brought together decision makers, statisticians, demographers, but also national experts.
01.08.2020 The National Bureau of Statistics has a new General Director
The Government appointed Mr. Oleg Cara as General Director of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova (NBS). Mr. Oleg Cara was designated the winner of the competition for the selection of the general director of the NBS, organized by the State Chancellery, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 93/2017 on official statistics.
15.08.2016 Training course for NBS IT staff in Oracle database administration
During 25th-29th July 2016 and 8th-12th August 2016, six NBS specialists from IT Department of Bureau of National Statistics (NBS), database administrators had the benefit of being trained in Oracle database adminstration, delivered by „Improved Regional Statistics in Moldova” EU Project.
04.08.2016 Workshop on pilot production survey of small farms
During 26-28 July 2016, "Improved Regional Statistics in Republic Moldova" EU Project, in close cooperation with National Bureau of Statistics organized a Workshop on pilot production survey of small farms in the district of Causeni. The event was designed for all stakeholders involved in preparation and implementation of the pilot survey: NBS Agricultural Statistic staff, NBS local staff in Causeni, supervisors and interviewers.

11.08.2015 Analytical framework "School-to-Work Transition Survey in the Republic of Moldova" edition 2015 posted on the website
The analytical framework of SWTS allows users to assess, first, the characteristics of young people who are still in school, who are employed (including self-employment), who are unemployed or are outside the labour force for reasons other than training/learning within the education system. The "School-to-Work Transition Survey" is a complementary module attached to Labour Force Survey, which was conducted in March 2015.

This synthesis provides detailed data on the use of time by Moldova's inhabitants: the types of performed activities (What are they doing?), the length of time for these activities (How much time?), as well as the context in which they are made (Where? The compilation contains tables with key indicators that describe the time spent by the residents of Moldova during the day, disaggregated by activities and the main socio-economic-demographic characteristics of the persons aged 10 years and older.
