Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019, GDP decreased by 9,7% on the gross series and by 11,5% on the seasonally adjusted series. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2020, GDP decreased by 1,1% on the seasonally adjusted series.

On January 1, 2020, according to the National Social Insurance House, the estimated number of people with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova accounted for 177,0 thousand people, including 10,7 thousand children aged 0-17 years. At the beginning of academic year 2012/13 number of students was 102,5 thou. persons (excluding foreign students), or with 1,4% less compared to previous year. The decrease in the number of the students was caused by the decrease in the number of the students in the state institutions. In average, per 10 thousands inhabitatbts there were 288 students in higher education institutions.
