20.08.2019 The touristic activity of tourism agencies and tour-operators in January-June 2019
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 151,6 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 12,2% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, outbound tourism and inbound tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2014 110,8 thousand tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 69,3 thousand Moldovan tourists (62,6% of total) and 41,5 thousand foreign tourists (37.4%).

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in June 2014 registered a value of 203,1 mio. US dollars, with 0,7% more than in the previous month and with 9,5% - compared to June 2013. Imports of goods in June 2014 registered a value of 452,1 mio. US dollars, with 4,3% more than in the previous month and with 0,7% less compared to June 2013.

On the 1st of January 2014, young people (aged 15-29) accounted 25% of the resident population. The young generation ratio is decreasing steadily during the last years, particularly the 15-19 age category, the share of which in the total number of young people has decreased from 31,8% on 01.01.2009 up to 26,0% on 1 January 2014.
