National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2016 by leasing companies were leased out fixed assets with total value of 1231,5 mio. Lei or with 142,4 mio. Lei more than in 2015. The major part of fixed assets leased out were the transport means with a value of 1085,2 mio. Lei, of which automobiles constituted 919 mio. Lei.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2016 number of deceased was 38490 persons, with 1416 persons less compared to the previous year, the general mortality rate constituted 10,8 deceased per 1000 inhabitants.
31.05.2016 Activity of water supply and sewerage systems in 2015
National Bureau of Statistics is announcing that, in 2015 on the territory of the country there were placed 1113 water supply systems. Of the total water pipe network 94 percent or about 1044 systems were functioning during the mentioned year.The total length of water pipelines and drinking water supply networks amounted to 12,8 thousand km or 2,3 thousand km more than in 2014.

Lei (current prices). This indicator decreased with 22,6% (comparable prices) as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

The turnover of goods in April 2016 summed up 326,7 mio. tonne-km, with 1,2% more than in the previous month and with 8,0% - compared to April 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in March 2016 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 4749,7 Lei and it increased with 8,0% compared to March 2015. The index of the real salary in March 2016 compared to March 2015 was 98,7% or less with 1,3% compared to previous year.

17.05.2016 External trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-March 2016
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2016 exports of goods amounted 417,2 mln. USD, while imports of goods amounted 889,4 mln. USD. Compared to the same period of the 2015, exports decreased by 14,5% and imports by 8,9%.The trade balance deficit in January-March 2016 has been of 472,2 mln. USD, lower by 16,1 mln. USD (-3,3%) than that recorded in the corresponding period of 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2016, 40,9 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 18,9 thou. Moldovan tourists (46,1%) and 22,0 thou. foreign tourists (53,9%). In comparison with January-March 2015 the number of tourists has increased (+14,5%), mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists in hotels and motels (+24,5%), holiday camps for children (+20,7%), recreation camps (+13,1%).

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the indices of industrial production in January-March 2016 compared to January-March 2015 constituted 101,1%. In March 2016 compared to March 2015 the indices of industrial production registered 107,2%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in April 2016 the annual inflation (for the last 12 months from April 2015 to April 2016) registered 8,3%, including: food products – 9,3%, nonfood products – 7,2% and services – 7,8%. Also the consumer price index (CPI) in April 2016 compared to March 2016 registered 100,0%, (in April 2015 compared to March 2015, CPI registered 101,0% and compared to April 2014 - 107,6%).

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in March 2016 registered a value of 162,0 mio. US dollars, with 17,0% more than in the previous month and with 7,3% less compared to March 2015. Imports of goods in March 2016 registered a value of 395,0 mio. US dollars, with 37,6% more than in the previous month and with 1,8% less compared to March 2015.

The turnover of goods in April 2015 summed up 290,4 mio. tonne-km, with 15,9% less than in the previous month and with 14,0% - compared to April 2014.
15.05.2015 Attendance of establishments of collective touristic accommodation in January-March 2015
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2015, 35,7 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation of which 19,5 thou. Moldovan tourists (54,7% of total) and 16,2 thou. foreign tourists (45,3%). In comparison with January-March 2014 the number of tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation has decreased (-6,6%), mainly due to the decrease of the number of tourists in hostels for visitors (-14,3%), hotels and motels (-11,0%), health-care structures (-3,0%).
