US dollars, with 32,3% more than in the previous month and with 16,7% less compared to March 2014.

National Bureau of Statistics reports that, of the total area of urban land, 6,5 thou. hectares or 7,7% of the total urban land are covered by green spaces. Green areas figures were practically constant during the period of 2007-2013, but decreased with 0,9 thousand ha in 2014, fact that registered respectively 0,8 and 0,1 thousand hectares mostly in Chisinau municipality as well as the Otaci town.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the number of stable population of the Republic of Moldova on 1 January, 2014 accounted 3557,6 thousands persons from which 699,8 thousands persons or each the fifth person is aged up to 18 years old.The number of 37,9 thousand persons constituted the live births in 2013 or with 1564 persons (4%) less than in the previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in April 2014 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, transported 978,5 thou. tonnes of goods, with 2,7% more than in the previous month and with 0,1% less than in April 2013. In January-April 2014 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 3215,5 thou. tonnes of goods, with 8,9% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2014 38,2 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 20,9 thou. Moldovan tourists (54,6%) and 17,3 thou. foreign tourists (45,4%). In comparison with January-March 2013 the number of tourists has increased (+4,7%), mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists in health-care structures (21,4%), hotels and motels (+10,1%).

USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2013 with 2,8%. Imports of goods in March 2014 registered a value of 483,0 mio. US dollars, with 16,2% more than in the previous month and with 1,0% less compared to March 2013. In January-March 2014 imports summed up 1218,2 mio. USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2013 with 2,0%.

In 2012, the number of live-births represented 39,4 thousand or with 253 persons more (0,6%) as compared with the previous year. The fertility rate constituted 11,1 live-births per 1000 inhabitants.

National Bureau of Statistics is announcing that, in 2012 on the territory of the country there were placed 742 water supply systems, of which 571 units - public ownership, 168 - private, 3 - mixed ownership. From the total of aqueducts during 2012 year there had acted 677 systems (91,2%) or with 34 aqueducts more than in previous year and with 163 compared with 2008.

Moldovan tourists (53,0%) and 17,2 thou. foreign tourists (47,0%). In comparison with January-March 2012 the number of tourists has increased (+2,1%), mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists and recreation camps, and other recreation structures (+29,0%), hostels (+10,4%), tourist and agrotourist pensions (+9,8%), hotels and motels (+6,4%).
