National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in 2012 living subsistence constituted in average per person 1507,5 lei, which is with 0,3% more than in 2011. The living subsistence remained practically unchanged comapared to 2011 mainly due to the reduction of prices for some foodstuff products.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in March 2013 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 804,2 thou. tonnes of goods with 28,8% more than in the previous month and with 24,5% - compared to March 2012. The turnover of goods in March 2013 summed up 348,5 mio. tonne-km, with 15,2% more than in the previous month and with 14,4% - compared to March 2012.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2012 the economically active population (employed population plus unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1214,5 thousand persons, less with 3,4% (-43,0 thousand) compared to the previous year. Active population structure has changed, as follows: the share of employment increased from 93,3% to 94,4% and the percentage of unemployed decreased from 6,7% to 5,6%.

The decrease of industrial production was determined by the reduction of the production volume in mining industry with 43,0% and in the manufacturing industry - with 2,9%. Simultaneously, in the reference month an increase of 0,8% was registered in energy sector.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the IV-th quarter 2012 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1200,7 thousand persons, less with 1,3% (-15,8 thou.) persons compared to the IV-th quarter 2011. The structure of the active population changed as follows: the share of employed persons incresead from 93,8% to 94,1%, while the share of unemployed persons decreased from 6,2% to 5,9%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that, that producer prices (average sale prices by agricultural enterprises) of agricultural products in 2012 compared to 2011 increased 17,7%. Average selling prices for plant products increased with 19,1%, for animal products – with 13,1%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2012 268,2 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 179,2 thou. Moldovan tourists (66,8%) and 89,0 thou. foreign tourists (33,2%). In comparison with 2011 the number of tourists has increased (+8,0%), mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists and recreation camps, holiday villages and other recreation structures (+53,0%), hotels and motels (+15,2%), health-care structures (+7,4%).

Imports of goods in December 2012 registered a value of 504,5 mio. US dollars, which is with 5,6% more than in the previous month and with 5,7% less compared to December 2011. In 2012 imports summed up 5213,1 mio. US dollars, more than in 2011 with 0,4%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that the average salary in national economy constituted 3477,7 Lei in 2012, and it increased in nominal value with 8,9% and in real value (adjusted to consumer price index) - with 4,1%. In December 2012, the average gross nominal earnings represented 3888,8 Lei and incrased with 4,9% more compared to December 2011.
