The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2009 compared to September 2009 the consumer price indices (CPI) registered 101,5%, and 98,4% compared to October 2008 (in October 2008 compared to September 2008 CPI registered 100,8% and 109,8% compared to October 2007).

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2009 the average salary of one employee in national economy constituted 2701,5 Lei and it increased compared to the same period of the previous year with 9,9%. The real salary in the same period of time increased with 9,7%. In the budgetary sector the average salary was 2344,6 Lei, and increased compared to January-September 2008 with 23,3%, in the real sector of economy - 2907,1 Lei and increased compared to the same period of the previous year with 5,9%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2009 industrial enterprises of all types of ownership, produced goods to the amount of 16321,1 mio. lei, in current prices. The volume index of industrial production in comparison with January-September 2008 constituted 75,7%, in comparable prices. In September 2009 in comparison with September 2008 this index constituted 77,5%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in September 2009 retail trade through commercial units summed up 1827,7 million MDL that is with 0,9% less than the prevoius month and with 2,9% less compared to September 2008. The volume of charged services rendered to the population by officially registered enterprises in September 2009 made up 1104,2 million MDL that is 1,7% more in comparable prices than in previous month and with 9,3% more compared to September 2008.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2009 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 5468,1 thou. tonnes of goods, or 40,8% of the total volume realized in same period of the previous year. The turnover of goods in the mentioned period summed up 1879,1 mio tonne-km, or 49,0% the volume registered in January-September 2008.
19.10.2009 Global agricultural production in January-September 2009
National Bureau of Statistics announces that agricultural production, in all types of households, in January-September 2009 registered 89,8% against the respective period of the previous year. The decrease of global agricultural production was determined by the decrease of vegetal production - with 17,0%, while animal production registered an increase of 8,6% in comparison with January-September 2008.

US dollars, which is 12,0% less than in the previous month and 36,6% less than in August 2008. Imports of goods in August 2009 registered a value of 233,9 mln. US dollars, which is 11,7% less than in the previous month and 48,5% less than in August 2008.

The real salary in the same period of time increased with 9,2%. In the budgetary sector the average salary was 2338,1 Lei, and increased compared to January-August 2008 with 22,6%, in the real sector of economy - 2902,5 Lei and increased compared to the same period of the previous year with 5,9%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that 490,5 thousand inhabitants in the age of 60 years and more, of which women represent more than a half (61%) lived in the beginning of 2009 in the Republic of Moldova. Two thirds of the entire aged population live in rural area. Every second inhabitant is between 60-69 years old and 13,8% are persons with more than 80 years old.
