National Bureau of Statistics informs that during January-June 2013, the agricultural output of agricultural holdings of all types represented 102,8% as compared to the same period of 2012. The growth in the agricultural output was determined by the increase of vegetal production with 29,0% and livestock production less - with 1,9%. In the total agricultural output, the livestock production has a share of 81%, whereas the vegetal production – 19%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that since 2000 a continuous increase in life expectancy can be observed, except for in 2005, when a high level of general and infant mortality was registered. In 2012, this indicator registered its maximum duration - 71,1 years, accordingly 67,2 years for men and 75,0 years for women. The significant increase in life expectancy was influenced by lower general mortality rate - 11,1 deaths per 1000 inhabitants, and lower infant mortality rate, which represented 9,8 deaths of children under 1 year per 1,000 live births.

According the situation as of January 1, 2013, the dwelling stock of the Republic of Moldova represented 80163,4 thousand m². 31077.5 thousand m² or 38,8% of the total dwelling stock is in urban localities, and 49085,9 thousand m² or – 61,2% in the rural ones. The level of insurance of population with dwelling stock per inhabitant represented, in average, 22,5 m² - at the national level, 20,9 m² - in urban localities and 23,7 m² - in rural localities.

In comparison with January-March 2012 the number of tourists has increased (+2,1%), mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists and recreation camps, and other recreation structures (+29,0%), hostels (+10,4%), tourist and agrotourist pensions (+9,8%), hotels and motels (+6,4%).

National Bureau of Statistics reports that of the total area of urban land, 7,4 thou. hectares or 9,4% are occupied by green spaces, the same level as in the previous year. 56,4% of the surface of these areas are for general use (squares, gardens, parks, etc.), the remaining being the spaces of touristic and entertainment zones (17,3%), limited access areas – 13% and areas with utility purposes (8,1%).
